PokéPuzzles is an independent fan project: a set of daily Pokémon puzzles that run entirely in your browser, with no account and no server storing your game.
Species data comes from PokeAPI, the open community database. Each day's puzzle is derived from a date-based formula rather than randomness, which is why everyone gets the same one.
The project
PokéPuzzles is an independent fan project, built and maintained by two Pokémon players. It is a set of daily puzzles that test how well you know the games — their type chart, their base stats, their regions and their sounds — rather than how fast you can recognise a silhouette.
The puzzles run entirely in your browser. There is no account system and no server storing your games: each day's puzzles are chosen by a date-based formula, and your progress, streaks and settings are kept in your browser's local storage. The only server-side piece is the connection that links players in a Party room.
Pokémon species data — types, base stats, heights, weights and evolution families — comes from PokeAPI, the open community database, and is bundled with the site so a puzzle loads instantly. Location screenshots used in PokéGuessr are credited to Bulbapedia.
PokéPuzzles is unofficial and is not affiliated with, sponsored or endorsed by Nintendo, Creatures, GAME FREAK or The Pokémon Company. Pokémon and Pokémon character names are trademarks of Nintendo. Rights holders who want something removed can reach us through the contact page.
Every mode is free to play. The site has no ads; its costs are covered by donations from players who want to support it.
